Exploring FLUX Kontext

FLUX Kontext is an image processing tool that allows you to edit images through simple prompts.

In the rapidly evolving landscape of digital creativity, Flux Kontext emerges as a groundbreaking solution that redefines how we generate and edit images. Developed by Black Forest Labs, this advanced AI model suite offers unparalleled capabilities in context-aware image manipulation, combining the power of text prompts with image inputs to deliver precise, high-quality results.” - MR. FLUX (probably)

Today, I took some time to try out and explore the results of FLUX Kontext.

This is my starting point, an image generated from ChatGPT.

“Add a background behind the character. The background should feature the inside of a pyramid with torches lit on the wall. The style of the background should match the character.”

So far so good.

“Put a suit on the character”

Here we can see some slight variations to the character.

Change the book to a paper with some charts on them. Change the background to be an office environment.

Again, we see some slight variations.

Have the character face look towards the "camera".

Again, it keeps quite a bit of the original intact but makes small variations.

I am quite impressed with the result. There are a few artefacts and the style changes over time. I believe our AI friend is experiencing a variation of the “Telephone Game” where the artefacts are reinforced over iterations.

Perhaps starting from the same original image would be more suitable.
